One of the most influential music band in history is “The Beatles”. The Beatles was formed in

Liverpool in 1960, they can be referred to as an English rock band, the members of this are

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The Beatles were rooted in a roll, skiffle, beat and 1950s rock, the experimented with different musical styles such as Indian music to psychedelia, pop ballads, and hard rock, they often mix unconventional recording techniques and classical elements in innovative ways. Around 1963 their massive popularity first comes forth as “Beatlemania”; The primary songwriter for the group are Lennon and McCartney, so as the group grew in sophistication, The Beatles became inherent to pop music’s evolution into an art form and to the development of the opposition of culture of the 1960s.

The reputation of The Beatles was built in playing clubs in Hamburg and Liverpool over a three-year period from 1960, with Stuart Sutcliffe at first serving as a bass player. Starr joined Lennon, Pete Best, McCartney, and Harrison, in drumming section in 1962 even though they went through a succession of drummers in 1958. With the help of Manager Brian Epstein and producer George Martin, they were shaped into a professional act, and developed their recordings, their first hit” Love Me Do”, in late 1962. helped them increase their group popularity in the United Kingdom. They gave their group a nickname “the Fab Four” In the early year of

1964 they were able to become international stars, leading the “British Invasion” of the United States pop market. After becoming international stars the Beatles did not relent and this gingered them to produce more innovative recordings, including the albums:

Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966),

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967),

The Beatles (also known as the “White Album”, 1968) Abbey Road (1969).

They broke up in 1970 and each of them enjoyed success as solo artists. Lennon died in December 1980 after he was shot while Harrison died of lung cancer in November 2001. The death of the two did not stop McCartney and Starr because they still remain musically active.
