Written by Jose Pernalete on March 9, 2020
We do not get only from the big screen some exciting releases this year, but also the smaller one pretty strong. From the first days of the year we’ve already seen great new releases of original series, and there are many more to come. But as exciting as the new series, we cannot forget about the new seasons we’re also getting.
This year’s many shows wave us goodbye, and many more say hello, so get ready and go get some snacks for some of the best series to watch in the next 6 months
BoJack Horseman. Season 6: Part II (Series Finale) – Netflix
The life of a talking horse after his days of glory are gone. Even though it sounds hard to take this seriously, it is not only one of the best written animated series of all time, but it also manages to add comedy into some of the heaviest, harsh and even depressing moments. It knows how to make us laugh and how to make us cry, but this year it’s finally time to say goodbye to this amazing show.
Hunters – Amazon
Al Pacino plays the role of an Auschwitz survivor who, along with a team of vigilantes, hunt down the remainings of the Nazi followers in a 1977 New York. These are no ordinary followers of the Third Reich, as they are working in a conspiracy to start a Fourth Reich in America. Al Pacino’s first leading role in a series promises a violent story with a lot of classic cinematic shots straight out of the ‘70s
Better Call Saul. Season 5 – AMC
After being delayed, the new season of Breaking Bad’s spin-off series will be arriving this March. SPOILER ALERT: Last season left us with a smiling Jimmy announcing his new name change to Saul Goodman, and this new season seems to be getting very close to tie ends with Breaking Bad and finally get all three stories together. But we’ll have to wait and see.
Westworld. Season 3 – HBO
Westworld has been out there for a while now, but this HBO sci-fi series still has a lot to show. With only two seasons out there, it still has plenty of space for exploring new themes, new stories, and new characters. And exactly that seems to be the case with season 3. As the past season finally reached a climax with the philosophical dilemma of the identities of creator and creation, this new season has a blank card to go to a completely new theme.
The Plot Against America – HBO
Set in a “what if” scenario where Charles Lindbergh beats Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1940 elections and what happens as antisemitism becomes more and more accepted in American society, all from the eyes of a Jewish family. An adaptation of Novel by Philip Roth, it will be a miniseries divided only in 6 episodes
Sure, there are plenty of other amazing series and seasons coming up this first six months, but many of them still have not announced their release date, and we’re here to bring you confirmed information on the releases. But be sure to keep an eye out, as there are many announcements surprises on the way!
