John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum
Written by Jose Pernalete on April 8, 2019
Back in 2014 when the first John Wick movie came out it really did took the world by surprise, there had not been a movie like that for a long time, one could argue that the movie was pretty much unique. With amazing artistic visuals, a fast paced direction, great cinematography in an action packed film.
The whole plot was a legendary assassin getting revenge on an entire mafia because the boss’s son killed his dog and stole his car. That started one of the best action sagas of the 2010’s.
The newest trailer of the film shows us a scaled up violence and action. Now John Wick is being chased worldwide for breaking the rules of the assassin society or so to say. We get a glimpse of horse riding action, motorcycle chases, shootouts through the city and much more.
This time John can’t deal with all this alone, so he’ll have to get some help of an old “friend” called Sofia, played by no other than Halle Berry herself.
Sofia, along with her dogs (who are also assassin’s) are going to help John deal with having the whole world hunting him, this is finally a revenge, since the whole killing started by the killing of a dog.
Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry both have rough and incredible training by instructors, special forces and more in many martial arts, parkour and moving techniques, using different types of guns and even knives.
After all we have to remember that John is a legendary assassins that once killed three persons with a pencil, he even killed 84 people in the first movie, and the number even rose for the second one, up to 128 body count, so that’s over 200 total, it would only be natural to expect the number to be way higher in the final of this trilogy
It is no exaggeration to say that John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is one of the most expected movies of the year, these movies quickly became a cult film, so a lot of fans of the saga along the world are eagerly waiting, and all action fans will surely enjoy another entry on this trilogy.
While all the previous films should be enough to build enough expectation for most people, if one thing is surely building up a lot of hype have been the trailers. We see action in bigger, faster and more extreme scenarios than ever before. A cast of stars and keeping the same amazing visual style, same “humor” and action based plot just as the other two films, is surely one thing that will make you look out for this film.
“John Wick is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.”
