How to travel light and on a budget

The key of successful travelling is time and spending money with a smart way. All you have to do is plan things earlier and don’t buy something that you don’t need that much, like clothes, shoes, bags etc.

Before you go to eat at a restaurant, always ask the locals where is good and cheap, because there are so many tourist traps for restaurants that will cost you double than a local restaurant or even better, if you are more adventurous, you can do some volunteer work while you travel. For example, there are so many restaurants that can allow you to work a little bit there to gain your food, and that can be so good because not only you just save money, but you also meet new people and that is a whole new experience.

When you want to go somewhere, you always have to research on that place. Get interested, ask questions, explore to find out more information about your destination. When the country that you want to visit is on high season, try to avoid, and instead go when is school time, or when there are no holidays. The main reason for this is, of course, the prices! It is going to be cheaper not just the flight, bus or the train ticket, but also the location that you are going to stay, the restaurants, or even the shops so that you will buy tourist things in more affordable prices, and also there are not going to be many tourists, so you can explore better.

If you find a plane ticket with a very good deal, before you buy it, search and find everything for that place, because the prices can be very expensive for almost everything, so again, do your research. Sometimes, if you manage to organize your own travel, instead of going to the travel agency, that can also save you a lot of money.

The best way to save money for travelling if you have a little bit more free time, is if you find second job which is more flexible for you. And another best advice is whenever you go, you can buy a SIM card and active some packages for free internet and calls at a very low price. In that way, for example, you don’t have to download offline maps, or simple you will always have access to the internet whenever is needed.
